How to Program Nissan Intelligent Key

Nissan Intelligent Key Programming Instructions

Bring your Nissan Intelligent Key and head on over to your vehicle, whether it’s parked out front of your apartment or in your garage. Be sure to read over these steps before doing them, so you can effectively set up the key: 

1. Get into your car with the key and then lock the doors.
2. Insert the key into the ignition, but don’t start the car. Then remove the key. Do this step about six times, although it can take up to 10 times. When your vehicle accepts the key, the hazard lights will flash twice.
3. Now, you’re in program mode. Put the key back in the ignition and turn the key to activate. The electrics should turn on but you don’t start the car.
4. Immediately press any button on the Nissan Intelligent Key. This needs to be done quickly to be effective.
5. Next, you’ll want to test out the key. Get out of your car and stand a good distance away from your Nissan and click the buttons on the key. If the lights flash or the horn beeps once, then the Nissan Intelligent Key has been successfully programmed!
6. You’ll also want to test it in close proximity. Walk up to your Nissan and open the door. You should be able to do this without having to press any buttons.
